Lapping Cane

Lapping cane is a versatile natural material used in traditional basket making, chair seating, and skep making. Its flexibility makes it ideal for finishing basket rims and edges, securing woven work, and adding a neat, professional finish to handmade pieces.

Lapping cane is also used in traditional skep making, where it helps secure and finish the coiled material used to form these traditional beehives.
