Today there is a resurgence of interest in the age-old craft of basket making from willow. This text introduces the beginner to willow basket work through a series of projects starting with a simple basket. Each new design assumes mastery of the previous skills and brings new techniques so that the novice working through the book acquires a thorough grounding. Supported by instructive drawings, the text aims to assure a level of competence from which more advanced work can be undertaken with confidence. The author is a teacher and lecturer and a professional craftswoman, specialising in willow work.
